ROUTE 2 - Tank Tracks and Beyond - Age Group 11 and above

Route: Adastra Park - Oldlands Mill - Bridleway to Ditchling - Tank Tracks - South Downs - Jack and Jill Windmills - Chatree memorial or Stanmer Park - Clayton - Adastra Park. (There may be some deviation from this route.) We will stop for refreshments and points of interest.

Parents welcome to accompany their younger children or those who need assistance - £4.00

If you are on a low income or if you are a young carer these prices will not apply.

WHAT TO BRING

Roadworthy bike / helmet / packed lunch or meal / water or refreshing drink/ clothing suitable for  light rain and / or muddy tracks.

No Bike? You can hire a suitable bike in the morning from Community Cycle Hire next to the Station.

NEED TO KNOW:

One volunteer cycling - experienced adult will be accompanying the leader on all rides, to help keep children as safe as possible. 8 will be maximum no of children

Leader has an enhanced DBS* check and is a qualified mountain bike leader and bike ability instructor.

The accompanying adult rider also has the appropriate DBS check.

Rides will go ahead subject to situation with Covid and dry weather in previous 24 hours.

*Enhanced DBS is a complete criminal history check on a person that shows if s/he is on the barred list for supervising children during leisure or other activities.
